Interested in becoming a collaborative partner?

The Why Behind What We Do

Millions of students are still not meeting basic proficiency in reading and mathematics. In California alone the number of kids not reading proficiently in grades 3-8 could fill up over twenty-six NFL stadiums. This matter requires a critical mass of educators willing to collaborate in order to empty these stadiums and change the trajectory of our students' lives.

Collaboration Works

The spirit of charter law was to allow for charters to become "lab schools" having greater flexibility for innovation within public education. Successful innovations could then be adapted to benefit public education more broadly.

Navigator has been able to visit and study dozens of the most successful public schools and use our findings to develop an academic model that combines the best of our research. We have used our data to determine which core elements of the model are crucial to positive student outcomes. These "Core 3" elements can be seamlessly integrated into any public school to close the achievement gap.

Becoming a collaborative partner does not mean your school must adopt a different identity. The core elements depicted in the graphic can be integrated into your own original recipe that is unique to your community of students. The core elements are not new ideas to education. They are not so unusual that they would cause a stir. What makes these elements WORK is that we have broken them down into systematic routines and protocol that, with ongoing  professional development and support from site leaders, will result in sustained positive outcomes.

If your school or organization is interested in joining this collaborative of educators, the links below contain the information needed to determine if this partnership is the right fit for your school.
